Transit Time Calculator
Build a door-to-door timeline leg by leg, from cargo ready date to estimated delivery, and work backwards from the date your customer needs the goods.
Formula
Delivery date = cargo ready date + booking + pickup + export clearance + main carriage + import clearance + delivery
Frequently asked questions
How do I work backwards from a required delivery date?
Enter a cargo ready date, read the estimated delivery, then adjust the ready date earlier by the difference. Planning backwards is the safest way to hit a customer deadline.
Does this include public holidays?
No. Even when weekends are excluded, public holidays at origin, destination and transhipment ports are not counted. Add them manually around Chinese New Year, Golden Week or Christmas.
Why is sea freight so much slower than the sailing time?
Because the sailing is only one leg. Booking, inland pickup, export clearance, import clearance and final delivery often add 7 to 10 days on top of the ocean transit.
